The saga of the VA-6, OH160 continues here in northern ontario...
As my previous post says, managed to get the clutch off, changed the rings and piston, new head gasket and any other gasket I came across along the way. Put
it all back together and after discovering that the spring on the carb for throttle was broken and the throttle valve would just bounce back and forth, causing
flooding, put a spring on and all was well. It ran great, took it for a few trips back into the bush,...

The repairs continue to try to determine the lack of power with the OH160 engine and the next step is going to be new rings and piston. The problem now is
trying to get the clutch off of the crankshaft. I see on other posts that it is a threaded shaft. Does the shaft of the clutch screw into the end of the
crank? If anyone can give some clear directions on how to remove the primary clutch so it doesn't end up broken in my attempts, it would be appreciated.

Does anyone know the rim size for terra jets i know the tire is 26x12-12 so i assume its smaller? right? like 12x11 also my wheel wont hold air due to
corrosion they said so i used a wire wheel to get most of the corrosion off and it still wont so i was thinking about getting a tube for it, can i do that? so
thats why i was wondering if i should get a 26x12-12 tube or is the rim not 12 in wide so i would need to find a 26x12-11 or something?

I just recently purchased a VA-6 (about a 1979) with an OH-160 engine. After dealing with electrical, carb and brake problems, I thought it was running pretty
well. That was until I took it out in the bush and it had little power under load. I think I have it narrowed down to either the governor or low compression.
With the valve cover off and turning the engine by hand, I can hear what I think is leaking past the valves but with the system on the OH160 for compression
